How do I register for Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK)?
Select the HSK level you desire, prepare a photo of your identification document (Identity Card for Malaysian, passport for non-Malaysian) and a passport-size portrait photo.Then, proceed to the registration page according to the HSK level you desire and register there. Instructions will be provided on the registration page.Requirement for the portrait photo:
  • Recent (not more than 6 months) portrait photo with white background
  • grayscale or coloured are both accepted.
  • Must be clear and recognisable
  • Display only head and shoulders
Which HSK level should I take?
  • For learning purpose:
    • We recommend you to choose according to how long you have studied Hanyu.
    • Example: Studied Hanyu for 1 year from nothing, we recommend you to take HSK Level 2
    • Example: Had took UPSR Chinese subject previously, we recommend you to take HSK Level 3 and above.

 

  • Working requirement:
    • Under normal circumstances, the company will have a minimal requirement. However, if the company did not set a minimal requirement, we recommend you to take HSK Level 5 and above.

 

  • For future studies purposes:
    • We recommend you to take HSK Level 5 or HSK Level 6. Most universities in People’s Republic of China accepts HSK Level 4, however HSK Level 5 or HSK Level 6 will provides you an advantage.

 

  • Scholarship requirement:
    • We recommend you to take HSK Level 6 and have a high score in HSK Level 6 to have a higher chance securing your scholarship.
What should I do after registering online?

After on-line registration, please make your payment within three (3) days.

Your registration will be automatically canceled if you did not make your payment within three (3) days after you registered on-line.

We will not notify you upon the cancellation of your registration.

How much is the registration fee? How do I make payment?

For the registration fee, please refer to the table below:

What should I do after making the payment?
  • On-line payment:
    Download or screenshot your bank-in slip, then fax or email to Han Culture Centre (M) Sdn Bhd.
    Alternately, you can also upload your bank-in slip to us through the Payment Acknowledgement page.
  • Payment at bank:
    Take a photo of your bank-in slip, then fax or email to Han Culture Centre (M) Sdn Bhd.
    Alternately, you can also upload your bank-in slip to us through the Payment Acknowledgement page.

How do I know if my registration is successful?

When you submit the registration form, you would receive an automated response email indicating you have successfully submitted your registration form.

After receiving the email, please double-check your information. If there is any mistake, please contact us to make a chance before the registration closes, otherwise we would collect 10 Ringgit (RM10/-) processing fee.

We would also send you the test admission ticket 5 days before the test. Please print it out, and bring to the test centre on the day of the test.

What is test admission ticket?

Test admission ticket is an admission document that is required for you to be admitted to the test.

Test takers are required to keep their test admission ticket after the test, as test takers will be using the same ticket to acquire their test result and certificates.

The test taker will also be using the same ticket number to check their results on-line, or to request for retaking a test

There are mistakes on my test admission ticket, what should I do?

If there are mistakes on your test admission ticket, please do not change it.

Bring it to the test, and inform the invigilator of such mistake(s).
If there are indeed errors, change it under the supervision of the invigilator, and request the invigilator to sign on your changes to acknowledge such change, otherwise your test will be invalid.

When does the on-line test starts?
  • HSK Level 1/3/5 is 1:30pm
  • HSK Level 2/4/6 is 9:00am
Is there any practice question for HSK?
What time should I arrive at the test centre?

Test takers are required to reach the test centre 1 hours before the test commences.

We, the test centre will conduct real-name verification. Please bring the test admission ticket, alongside with documents that can verify your identity to the test centre.

You will not be admitted to the test if you failed to present the required documents or test admission ticket. We will not provide printing on the spot.

Is there anything I should know after I entered the test hall?

The test takers should present their test admission ticket and identity documents. The name, and the photo on both the identity document and the test admission ticket must be the same.

Is there any rules I should obey?
  1. Test taker must sit on the assigned seat. Test taker do not have the liberty to pick their own seats
  2. Once the test starts, the test taker cannot leave nor enter the hall until the listening part of the test ends.
  3. During the test, any test taker are suspected cheating, such as: taking the test for another person, plagiarism, copying, bringing unauthorized document into the test hall, and any action that made the invigilator suspects the test taker, the invigilator has the right to stop the said test taker to continue conducting the test or record such action of the test taker on the test report.
  4. We are authorized to disqualify the said test taker from the test, and retain the right to deny such test taker from ever taking any test that is organized by Hanban Confucian Institute.
What should I bring during the test?
  • Test takers are only allowed to bring in authorized material such as test admission ticket and identity documents into the test hall. Any electronic devices or other unauthorized materials such as handphone, smartwatch, pen, paper and tumbler are not allowed to bring into the test hall.
  • After entering the test hall, test takers are required to place their test admission ticket and identity documents on the top right corner of the desk.
  • If test taker is unable to present the required documents, or providing false documents, the said test taker will be denied entry, and the fee will not be returned.
What should I do with my personal belongings?

Please pass them to the staff on-site. The staff will label and keep your personal belongings at a safe spot. Your personal belonging will be returned to you immediately after the test.

I’m late! What should I do?
  • Test taker that came before the listening test start can still enter the test hall;
  • Test taker that came after the listening test start can enter the test hall after the listening test completes;
  • Test taker that came after the reading test start cannot enter the test hall, and the fee will not be returned.
I am thirsty during the exam, what can I do?

You will have to endure.

If a test taker leaves the test hall during the test, their answer will become invalid.

Nature calls during the test, what can I do?

You will have to endure. Therefore, we recommend test takers to go to the bathroom before the test commences.

I only realise that there are mistakes on my personal information during the test, what can I do?

Please contact the staff immediately, and provide the correct information. HSK office might request you to retake the test.

If you did not contact the staff immediately, your test result might not appear properly, leading to your test becoming invalid.

Under what circumstances an invigilator would stop me from taking the test?
  • During the test, if the test taker is found not providing the required documents.
  • Test taker is hacking the test machine, cheating, or disturbing other test taker, the said test taker will be denied from continuing the test, and will be recorded.
When does the test ends?

Due to the fact that each level have different duration, therefore each test ends at a different time.

May I leave the test hall if I finished the test early?

You may not. The test interface will indicates when can you leave, please follow the instruction appeared on the screen.

If there are other test takers, please leave the hall quietly.

You may be disqualified from the test if you disturb the order.

When can I get the result of my test?

Approximate 30 days after the test.

When can I get my hard-copy result?

Approximate 45 days after the test. Test taker can contact us to check if the result has arrived from China. After that, we can arrange when the test taker can come to collect the result, or send to the address the test taker provides

There are sudden situation leading to me unable to attend the exam, what can I do?
  • If such situation was caused by Han Culture Centre, for example: insufficient test duration or damage on test equipment that leads to test taker unable to complete the test, we will arrange a free retake for all affected test takers as soon as possible. However, we will not be responsible for any loss caused indirectly.
  • If such situation is caused by unresistable factors such as natural disaster, accidents, or regional power failure, leading to the test unable to conduct, we will arrange a free retake for all affected test takers as soon as possible, or we would refund the fee in full. However, we will not be responsible for any loss caused indirectly.
